DESCRIPTION:Grindsbrook Clough\, Crowden Tower & Jacob’s Ladder\nLocation: Edale\, Peak District Start at Edale Car Park\, Water Meadows\, Hope Rd\, Edale\, Hope Valley S33 7ZQDistance: Approx. 13KM / 8.1 milesMeet Time: 8.45 am\, Start Time 9.00 am PromptDifficulty: ChallengingCost: FREE (parking is charged at the rate displayed in the car park) \nAbout the HikeJoin us for a challenging circular hike from Edale\, taking in some of the best scenery on Kinder Scout.We’ll climb through Grindsbrook Clough\, with steep rocky sections and some hands-on scrambling\, before reaching the Kinder plateau. From here we’ll follow the edge past Crowden Tower and Kinder Low\, before descending via the famous Jacob’s Ladder and returning to Edale. \nExpect steep climbs\, rocky paths\, uneven terrain\, open moorland and some scrambling\, so a reasonable level of fitness and confidence on rough ground is required. \nWhat to BringWalking boots or trail shoes with good grip\, waterproofs\, warm layers\, plenty of water\, packed lunch and snacks. \nCome On Your Own 💚Lots of people join their first Summits Up hike alone. DESCRIPTION:Lathkill Dale & Bradford Dale Circular\nJoin us for a beautiful circular walk through some of the Peak District’s most picturesque limestone countryside\, taking in Lathkill Dale and Bradford Dale. \nExpect peaceful riverside paths\, limestone scenery\, woodland and open countryside\, with plenty of lovely Peak District views along the way. \n🥾 Distance: 14 km / 8.7 miles⛰️ Elevation: 456 m / 1\,496 ft⏱️ Duration: Approx. 4–5 hours💪 Difficulty: Moderate🔄 Route: Circular \nMeeting Point & Time\n📍 Moor Lane Car Park – Peak District National ParkMoor Lane\, Bakewell\, DE45 \n🕣 Meet: 8:45am🥾 Start: 9:00am prompt \nPlease arrive in plenty of time to park\, get your boots on and be ready to leave at 9am. \nWhat to Expect\nThis is a moderate hike with a mixture of riverside trails\, woodland paths and open countryside. There are some climbs\, rocky and uneven sections\, and paths may be muddy or slippery following wet weather. \nA reasonable level of fitness is recommended\, but this is a social Summits Up hike and nobody gets left behind. \n🚻 Toilets: There may be seasonally open public toilets a few kilometres into the route\, but we cannot guarantee these will be open.
