DESCRIPTION:Grindsbrook Clough\, Crowden Tower & Jacob’s Ladder\nLocation: Edale\, Peak District Start at Edale Car Park\, Water Meadows\, Hope Rd\, Edale\, Hope Valley S33 7ZQDistance: Approx. 13KM / 8.1 milesMeet Time: 8.45 am\, Start Time 9.00 am PromptDifficulty: ChallengingCost: FREE (parking is charged at the rate displayed in the car park) \nAbout the HikeJoin us for a challenging circular hike from Edale\, taking in some of the best scenery on Kinder Scout.We’ll climb through Grindsbrook Clough\, with steep rocky sections and some hands-on scrambling\, before reaching the Kinder plateau. From here we’ll follow the edge past Crowden Tower and Kinder Low\, before descending via the famous Jacob’s Ladder and returning to Edale. \nExpect steep climbs\, rocky paths\, uneven terrain\, open moorland and some scrambling\, so a reasonable level of fitness and confidence on rough ground is required. \nWhat to BringWalking boots or trail shoes with good grip\, waterproofs\, warm layers\, plenty of water\, packed lunch and snacks. \nCome On Your Own 💚Lots of people join their first Summits Up hike alone.
