13 Weeks to Go – The Robin Hood Half Marathon

Jun 25, 2026 | General

The countdown is officially on!

With just 13 weeks until the Robin Hood Half Marathon, now is the perfect time to lace up your trainers and start your journey towards the finish line.

Whether you're aiming for a personal best, taking on your very first half marathon, or simply looking for a challenge with a purpose, we'd love you to join Summits Up and make every mile count.

Why Run for Summits Up?

Every step you take helps us continue our mission of improving mental health through the outdoors and funding fast access to therapy for people who need it most.

By running for Summits Up, you'll be helping us:

  • Fund life-changing therapy sessions.
  • Build supportive outdoor communities.
  • Raise awareness that it's okay to ask for help.
  • Encourage more people to get active for their mental wellbeing.

When you cross that finish line, you'll know you've made a real difference.

13 Weeks Is Plenty of Time

Don't worry if you haven't started training yet—13 weeks is enough time to prepare safely for a half marathon with a sensible training plan.

The key is consistency rather than speed. Aim to build your running gradually, include one longer run each week, and remember that rest days are just as important as training days.

Before you know it, those miles will start feeling easier, your confidence will grow, and race day will feel much less daunting.

You're Not Doing It Alone

When you join Team Summits Up, you'll become part of a supportive community cheering each other on every step of the way.

As one of our charity runners, you'll receive:

  • free charity place (subject to availability).
  • Summits Up running vest or T-shirt.
  • Fundraising support and ideas.
  • Regular updates and encouragement from the team.
  • The opportunity to train alongside other runners where possible.

We've also teamed up with a qualified running coach and personal trainer who is offering exclusive discounted coachingto our charity runners. Whether you're completely new to running or chasing a faster time, there's expert support available to help you arrive at the start line feeling confident and prepared.

Fundraising

Every pound raised helps us continue funding therapy for people who need it most.

Once you've secured your place, simply set up your fundraising page and share your story with friends, family and colleagues. You'll be surprised how many people want to support a challenge that changes lives.

Every Step Counts

The next 13 weeks will pass whether you train or not.

Imagine standing on the start line knowing you've put in the work, then crossing the finish line knowing you've helped someone access life-changing mental health support.

Together, let's make this year's Robin Hood Half Marathon our biggest and most impactful yet.

We're ready if you are. 💙
