A Milestone Worth Celebrating: 60 Referrals Supported

Jul 3, 2026 | General

We’re incredibly proud to share that Summits Up has now reached its 60th referral.

What makes this achievement even more significant is that we started from a standing start, with no funding, no backing, and no guarantees of success. Thanks to the support of our community, fundraisers, volunteers and supporters, we have now been able to provide potentially life-saving mental health support to 60 people.

In our very first year as a charity, helping more than one person every week is something we can all be proud of. In fact, demand has increased significantly, and we are now funding support for around three people every week.

With each referral requiring fast access to professional therapy, we are currently spending approximately £1,000 per week to meet demand. While we're proud of the impact we're making, it also highlights just how important fundraising is to the future of the charity.

Every challenge completed, every donation received, and every fundraiser organised helps us continue providing support to people who simply cannot afford to wait.

As a charity, we rely entirely on fundraising to continue our work. If you, your business, workplace, or community group would be interested in supporting Summits Up or discussing fundraising ideas, we would love to hear from you.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us reach this milestone. Together, we're making sure people get the support they need, when they need it most. 💚
